THURSDAY, 2nd OF FEBRUARY


Today we got up early and went to school.
Some of us finished the leaflet at the computer and others went to different locations in Ptuj  to shoot a video.

In the evening we went Bowling, which was great and then to a bar with our friends. 

Then, at 12 o'clock at night the carnival of Ptuj started. This is the most important festival for the people here. Some of us had the chance to see the "Kurants" running around a fire with heavy belts. This was very impressive. 

Here you can see a picture of us with two "Kurant. But they have taken of their masks.

Otherwise they look more scary. And the sound of the belts 

is very loud.

WEDNESDAY, 1

On Wednesday we woke up at 6.00 am because we went to the main city, Ljubljana. We took the bus at 7.30 am at the school and we spent two hours and a half to arrive.

We saw a lot of things of there like monuments, places and bridges. In fact, there are three bridges. This is the Dragon Bridge:

 And this the bridge where the people who are in love promise their love by putting a padlock here.

We also visited the Ljubljana castle. Although it was raining and foggy, we enjoyed a beautiful landscape.

In our free time each group had lunch in different places like Mc Donald's, Italian or Chinese restaurants.

We arrived to Gimnazjia at 4.00 pm and then we went to the pub La Siesta.

Tuesday 31th

Today we woke up at 7:00, we were very tired because yesterday was a very long day.
At 8:00  we went to the high school and we attended a Slovenian language class.
Then we worked on our brochure about the city from 9 to 16:00. We had a break at 10:30 and another one at 13:30 to have lunch.

The local TV also came and they asked us about the project. We were so excited!!
When we finished, we spent some time with our friends around the city and we went to some cafes.
At night we went home and we spent some time with the family and at 23:00 we went to sleep.

JOURNEY TO PTUJ

We set off from Murcia on Sunday at 11 o'clock in the morning and finally arrived at this charming, picturesque town at 12 o'clock at night.

But the journey was definitely worth it.  Our exchange partners were waiting for us at 8 degrees minus zero and we went to the warm cosy houses with them.

Today we met at the school at 8.30 in the morning and first of all, they gave us a very nice presentation about Slovenia and Ptuj and some students from Ptuj also performed a song.

Then we started with did some activities together to get to know each other and finally we went on a first walk in group of fours students through the town. It was freezing cold, but nevertheless very interesting.

We had a hot chocolate  in a nice café to get warm and then we went back to school to find first ideas for our projects.
So the first two days of this new experience as an exchange student in Slovenia have been very exciting!
